Here is what I have so far on my new woodcut. The new larger scale is slowing me down, but I hope to at least have the carving done by my 29th birthday. That gives me about a week. Wish me luck.

August 6, 2010For Christina Shmigel’s class last week we did an alter ego project, and this is what I ended up with.
I came up with the idea of making an attachment for my bike that sketches my path behind me as I ride. With the help of Justin Turcotte’s ingenuity, crayola chalk, and my own pedal power I was able to make it happen. I documented the original drawing by taking 946 photos. This is still a work in progress. More to come soon.
