These are the tents I have been making. They are still really just in sketch form, but I hope to have one grouping done sooner than later. One day I will build a whole village!
Some of these guys are up on my etsy site now check it out.
This is a pretty good grouping of what I made at Penland. I feel that I gained so much from my fall concentration. The tents are all over my brain, and I am sure I will be working with them for a long time. I made a book, which is kind of different for me. I learned how to sharpen my carving tools! Now doing woodcuts is way more manageable. I actually understand the Vandercook proof press, and know what to do when something isn’t printing correctly. I made amazing friends . Some of which I cried with as I said farewell and drove off listening to CCR. As always the days go too fast. Keep the Hall and Oats rockin my friends!

Ele! I miss you so much, and I’m so glad we were able to share this great class together. I learned so much from you and your printmaking abilities. Not only are you unbelievably talented, but you are one of the kindest and most fun people I’ve ever met! Keep up the great work and stay in touch! xo, LRay

ele’s prints have the power to overpower rain with sunshine, bring faith to the forgotten, turn coal in to popcorn, and turn your old shoes in to shiny new dancing shoes. stay tuned to her for further world domination. there i said it. i’ma gonna come kiss your face in north carolina soon.

It has always been a goal of mine to turn coal into popcorn! Thanks Rocket!
The class couldn’t have been better as far as I’m concerned. But it would have been a hell of a lot less alive without you. You my dear friend are one of a kind. Lets make books together!
